sky Q box

My lodger has just move out and cancel her account, at the moment the two boxs are still in the house can I keep these boxs and start a account with you.

you can setup an account in your name and receive new equipment

Sky will ask her to return the equipment loaned to her. If you take a subscription with Sky, they'll send you new equipment.

Are you a brand new customer to Sky Q? If so the engineer will bring the Sky Q box, cables, remotes and a dish if there isn't one there already, on installation day. If you are a returning Sky Q customer and they have sent you a Sky Q box via a courier then it's for self set up.

If it's a Stream puck, setup is entirely DIY.

I need to change my old box which is not getting any updates to a Sky Q one i have called the number on the letter sent to me but the Autobot didn't recognise what i was saying can someone help ? Thanks Terry

Despite the way the letter/email is worded the lack of updates for SKY HD boxes does not mean they will stop working - they have not had any updates for a long time

 

You may wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

SKY +/HD to SKY Q 

 

If you do wih to go ahead I believe one way to get past the automated system is to keep silent (although I could be worng)

My sky q box is not working right as for past couple of weeks keep looseing sound so I have to switch it of for bit then put back on and works for couple of days and does again not my tv cause when switch off my tv is fine
