pair new romote on multi room

The new remote for the TV in the back room cannot be paired as when I try and pair it with the Q box in the front room it doesn't pair and just knocks out the remote for that TV. It has been the case when I turn on the TV in the back room it comes up with a black screen that says NO SIGNAL will not connect  to sky without the sky remote ON button being pressed.  Of course now with the new remote not being paired I cannot get past the black screen to even try and pair it.

Hi @Theo1690

First try rebooting the Q box in Question .

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

When the box is up and running

Try completly resetting your new Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

hi @Theo1690

Please follow the advice from @oldfella

Do also note his warning about line of sight after resetting the remote , as until it is pairred it works in Infrared mode

I do, however, feel I should mention that each remote pairs with the individual SKY Q box so unless yu were just testing the remote I am not too sure why you would try to pair the remote for your mini with the main box
