no programmes at all on TV

no programmes at all on TV just the opening HDMI1 but nothing else.   tried contacting Sky but got no help whatsoever from the people at the other end, who can hardly speak English.    I was told 5 days ago that someone would be here today to fix this problem but n o one appeared.    after a 20 minute call i was told to ring back in 2 days (what for i dont know) as everyone is of the opinion that it is the Sky box that needs replacing.   I did lose my temper and called them liars, charlatans, etc. but it didn't make any difference.    so at the age of 82 and with n o immediate family i am destined to sit and brood over things that aren't important instead of watching something slightly interesting on TV.   congratulations sky !!!!!!!!!

thank you for all your help on the matter.   things seem to be moving along and it will  prove to be a mistake on the part of Sky as at 82 years and only owning one TV, why would i want two boxes.    once again thank you.

still no action from Sky about the box but fortunately my 12 year old neighbour managed to get the tv going but the box is still doing what it likes, sometimes recording and sometimes not.   i have never received such bad service from Sky after being a customer for over 20 years.
