keep losing internet when opening apps on Sky Q

Hi, My internet is stable at about 200mbs upload and download, but when i open You tube or nextflix or Amazon Prime ( Basically any app) the internet quickly drops out, then i quit the app and sky quickly reconects to internet.   i have turned everything off and on again about 5 times, i have even updated my software,  this is been happening for a 10 daus now , altho on monday it worked perfectly.  can you help please ??  thanks ( Ps every time it drops out i run a speed test on my phone and laptop and internet is running fast.  thanks

The internet drops out or the Q's connection to the internet drops out?

thanks for the reply ,

I think the sky Q drops out, Because when it drops out i run a speed test on my phone and the internet speed is the same when it says connected aswel as when its says "no internet connection.  cheers

I can watch catch up or movies, it only seems to not connect when i open apps  

I have also contacted my internet provider and they have said i have not had any drop outs.  I use eeros mesh system with Karoo

Hi @Paggi In the following order:- Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on?

Does the eero mesh let you plug in via ethernet and is a node in reach for a cable from the Q box? That's how I use my mesh. And even then its behaviour is a bit erratic. Strangely was more stable on an old BT Wholehome mesh but since "upgrading" to an Orbi wifi7 one, the Q is more grumpy.

 

Using wifi has never worked properly for me.

Hi, My Mesh is about 20 feet away, i dont want more cables , that is why i use WiFi,

I have just sat infront of my Sky Q with my laptop on with "Sky service checker" on, my Sky Q in the network settings said router "Tick" internet "Cross", but the Service checker said everything was good..

I then went to settings and pressed 0,0,1 and refreshed my apps,  this seems to work ( For now) i will keep a check on it.
