cant connect sky mini

My sky mini box decided yesterday to stop working. I have still got the internet, the main sky q box is working but the mini says no internet. I have rebooted, switched off, etc and nothing.  When the on screen instruction tells you to hold the wps button till it flashes, it takes ages and once it does I get no further on screen instruction. I do have a sky booster that was installed when I got the mini boxes.   

Im now at the stage Im going to through it out the window. What can I try next?  Should add, Im not very tech minded!

@Flora61 normally the instruction you get is to press the WPS button on the nearest piece of Sky Q equipment so in your case if you have a booster then you would need to press the WPS button on the booster
