Sky Q box and remote don't work

Hi I've used all the online guides and still can't get Sky Q box off standby, so still on Amber. Remote seems to have died, ive already replaced the batteries 3 times and got worse each time. I put in a request for a new remote 10 days ago, but still waiting. I've pressed the standby button on the Q box and that won't change so I don't know if the problem is with the box, remote, or both. Please help!

@Meg--72Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions
