ive got 900mbps sky broadband and have a Q 2tb and a mini box .
Both boxes are hardwired to the router, but im only getting a speed of around 80mbps on my computer which is also hardwired to the router.
But when i disconnect the mini box my computer gets around 900mbps
So the mini box is taking far to much broadband speed,
Is there anything i can do to keep the mini box connected with the hardwire and get better speeds to my computer ?
Thank you for any help

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIs this consistent or does it come and go?
The Q can be very chatty on the network but the mini only has a 100Mb port so I don't see how it could hog 900.
I wonder if it being connected is making the router switch down to 100Mb on all its ports. Maybe put a 1Gb switch in front of it and connect the mini & Q to that?
