Why do sky deal with dpd. Worst delivery service ever.

Last week surpose to deliver my replacement box. Dpd didn’t even bother to turn up. No way of contacting them. Reschedule for today and did the same thing,  lied that they tried to deliver when I was in and no knock on the door, or card. Called sky and quess what, they can't even contact them either. How the hell do you work with a company that you cant contact if you have an issue. Sky, you will be losing a customer of over 17 years.

I've had problems with DPD in the past too, not with a Sky delivery, though. They delivered a TV which was dented, obviously the result of rough handling which I sent back. They delivered the replacement which was also damaged and was returned too.

I think it entirely depends, much like many things, on where you live.
I rate DPD as the best of the courier services that serve my area. Every delivery has been on time, with accurate tracking and friendly, efficient drivers.
The less said about Evri on the other hand, the better.

DPD are by far the best courier company I have dealt with! Never had a problem with any, of many, deliveries I've received via them. There app is very informative and keeps you informed at every stage, from supplier hand-over to doorstep

I am just another Sky customer!

You must be someone senior in DPD trying to avoid all of the reviews being negative! worst delivery company ever. Too cheap to give drivers company phones so they can call customers!

Hi @DPD_are_PANTS   Apart from being three years late with your comment. Is there something we can help you with your Sky Q box (this community)?

What the problem you can track you delivery on DPD web site or app did Sky not give you the  relevant information to do so?

Sorry did not read the date however looks like I was not  the only one commenting to a three year old post.

Only the slightly odd person who resurrected it Dave. I'm surprised they don't automatically lock threads after a certain period passes, although there are lots of strange design decisions made on this forum software.

As I said though three years late you can track a delivery using DPDs app or web site, if Sky would give you the relevant information ie the parcel number when they send out the confirmation email about you delivery. If they don't its sky short coming not DPD.  And I think you will find DPD drivers do have  mobile phone with them whether they have your phone is nother matter.

I get a weekly delivery from DPD for work. The driver uses his device to update the tracking and take a photo of parcel.

Re: Why do sky deal with dpd. Worst delivery service ever.

DPD confirmed on a telephone call that  drivers can only use their personal phones (probably because DPD are too cheap and shoddy to provide a company phone) so they CAN'T phone the customer. Interesting you replied after three years, just confirms for me you work for DPD. I'm really sorry for you as your employer is pants.

@DPD_are_PANTS It was you who resurrected a 3 year old thread. Everyone else was just replying to you, lol.

@DPD_are_PANTS

What does it matter if DPD don't supply their drivers with work mobiles. That's nothing to do with Sky. It's a matter for DPD.

Personally I've never had an issue with a DPD delivery.

No idea how you come to that conclusion.
