Can I watch an episode from a recorded series link without having watched or deleted the previous one?

Indeed - we do advise the use of the continue Section unless you really know it is pointing to the correct episode
OOPS - were did the NOT go

hi @Douglas91
You don't have to watch in any particular order.
Just go to the series in the Most Recent section of recordings listings and scroll down to the episode you want to watch
The same is the case for anything in catch up or on demand (providing the episode is availble)
P.S. It seems I gave the longer answer 🙂

Thanks to you both; that's most encouraging. What you say doesn't seem to accord with my experience, but I will work through this to see if I can spot where I may have been going wrong.

Thanks again to you both for your responses and my problem is now solved.
I think the problem arose from my lack of familiarity with the navigation of the Q screen (the box was installed only last week and is of course very different from the HD+ box, which I had been using for about 20 years before!). After some trial-and-error practice, which is still going on, I think I am beginning to get the hang of it. I am though still puzzled when I try to delete an episode I have just watched to the end to be told that I cannot do that yet as someone is still watching it!

My general advice, if you get this is to go back in & then to make sure you pause it and then use th e back / dismiss button until back to the Home screen then go back.
I also strongly advise not to use the buttons above the episode lists as these can often point to the wrpng episodes (e.g. the next episode when near the end of one) but always navigate down to use the buttons underneath the specific episode you want to 'action' (e.g. delete)

SKY Q can be a bit of a culture shock after SKY HD
If you have any other queries feel free to ask & we will try to help
edit BTW if you haven't already discovered Voice control is very handy & I definitely recommend setting up favourite channels
My favourite voice controls for recordings are :
Skip nn minutes
Go To nn minutes
Back nn minutes
You can use hours, minutes & seconds or mix e.g. Go to 1hour 15 minutes
Skip nn minutes is very handy for adverts and you get used to the length on regular used channels (Many are around the 4 minute mark)
You can also say Go To Start
As I say voice control in general is very useful - see
