Want to have UHD but it says your box needs upgrade. Cant get thru to a real person

Afraid you can only do this by speaking directly to Sky. 
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.

You can check if your box does need to be replaced to get UHD - look in :  

Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version

If it is 32Cxxx then you have an older 1TB non-UHD Box & would need upgrading
If it is 32B0xxx then you have a (V1) UHD but non HDR 2TB Box  (note the main difference you would notice is with HDR)
If it is 32B1xxx then you have a (V2) UHD HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
If it is 32B2xxx then you have a (V3) UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box

My personal view, is that,  If you were not actively seeking UHD content,  it may not be worth it for you

Thanks for the answer. I need to upgrade and it costs £99 to get the Sky Q UHD box, Sky has just told me. Not worth it so will live with what I have.
