Viewing card issues everytime I turn box on

Everytime I turn the Sky box on it says "Please ensure the correct viewing card is inserted with the chip facing up" Usually reinserting the card and turning off the main power on the box works. But lately it takes two goes and right now nothing seems to be working. What now?

@haywardee have yo tried giving the chip on the card a clean with a soft lint free cloth then reinserting the card
