Viewing card issue

Error message on tv reads "please insert your viewing card with the chip facing up"

 

I cannot see a slot on my sky q box that would hold a viewing card?

 

can you help

@SP851 the card and slot are on the right hand side of the box towards the front 


I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Hi our sky is saying viewing card not authorised.  We have had this before and you fixed the issue over the phone.  We have tried upgrading but you need to fit a sky sky dish but where it is on our house your engineers aren't allowed to access due to your safety standards.  Can you please help

@Siobhan24 @Kk020466 You could try refreshing your viewing card by pressing home > settings > system info > viewing card number > setup > viewing card setup press select to trigger a callback don't worry nothing to do with your phone its only Sky's terminology this will be done over the internet
