Using sky TV without internet

My internet is down, apparently due major issue supplying the area. So I know I can use the sky tv without internet just not the on demand stuff. However I can get past the 'no internet connection' screen messages? Any help appreciated. 2 days no internet or tv and 5 children!

@stacie-MarieIt should just disappear after a few seconds, mine does. However do you have a smart TV connected to the Internet (when working) as the message could be coming from there.

If you have a mobile phone and a large data allowance you may be able to use that for WiFi so long as you don't use catch up etc the data use should not be too much but you could watch live TV. With my phone I can go into settings and then enable WiFi hotspot.

if so you can still just use the menu on the left to get to the TV Guide and "backup" button to go direct to the current live show

Many of the menus, like home, On Demand and Catchup will display that message, while you have no internet connection..
But you should be able to see the tv guide pages and also view/use your recordings.
Just press the back button on your remote control and you will be able to watch live TV.
