I've just upgraded from Sky+HD to Sky Q.
With Sky+ I could step through a recording in ,say, 5 minute steps by using the "user defined" function to check on the progress of a football match, for example.
I can't work out how to do this in Sky Q,
Is it possible?

Thanks guys that's exactly what I was asking and that's the perfect solution!
I thought there must be a way, but hadn't even got as far as exploring the voice control.
Thanks again.

Re: User Defined Option when viewing Recordings
I'm not certain what you're asking but if you mean jumping to a specific point in your recording just use the voice control and say "go to xx minutes".

Re: User Defined Option when viewing Recordings
hi @dejj
voice control is your friend here :- handy controls are :
Skip nn minutes
Go To nn minutes
Back nn minutes
You can use hours, minutes & seconds or mix e.g. Go to 1hour 15 minutes
Skip nn minutes is very handy for adverts and you get used to the length on regular used channels (Many are around the 4 minute mark)
You can also say Go To Start
Voice control in general is very useful

(Edit: BTW Before you ask, unfortunately there is no Bookmark facility on SKY Q - which I still miss 6 years on)

The quickest way I found to skip through a recording on Q was to press the up arrow on the remote to show the on-screen progress bar, then every press of the right arrow skips one minute. You can easily skip through a long recording that way and I found it was easier & quicker than voice control.
