Well today I got sky stream with discovery plus and Netflix. All went well until doing discovery plus. Same issue as everyone else. Started setting it all up at 12.30 today and finished being sent from one person to another until I admitted defeat at 6.45pm as I couldnt take anymore. Being told issue was with discovery plus, rang them to hear issue was with Sky as it wasn't showing on their system so not processed, to go back to sky to be told we maybe did it wrong and to wait until tomorrow to see if it fixes itself. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Absolutely raging now reading all these posts to find out there is a major problem with their system and we are all being sold a product they cant fully deliver and are pretending it's a one off issue with each I dividual person. Absolute disgrace!!

yer i just called discovery plus aswell very helpful we tried a few thing but because it is not active on the sky side they can't do anything else so we just need sky to get this sorted asap and yet they are not holding to there word on sky is better 🤣

i did the online messenger/chat with discovery + yest and they where so helpful but as u say, they couldnt do anything there side as it wasnt activated the sky end

After I spent ages on the phone to Sky rebooting the box and resetting everything to then be told that they couldn't do any more and I should contact Discovery, they gave me a telephone number to call. That number turned out to be a dead line which didn't impress me, but after a quick google I did manage to find a way to chat to discovery online and after sending them screenshots of my MySky app showing I'd subscribed to TNT sports they did activate Sports on my app for 30 days. They didn't however activate the basic package which was frustrating but it does show that the app can be activated by Discovery if needed, despite current Sky problems.

Why Sky can't therefore contact Discovery and ask them to activate the app for each customer experiencing problems seems strange. Surely that's an easy fix and shows good customer service rather than making everyone spend hours on the phone trying to sort things out.

Hi @Hay2767 and welcome to the forum. When Discovery+ changed their App a few weeks ago I had a similar situation where the QR code on the TV didn't work properly. I ended up going to the Discovery + web site (as shown on my TV screen) and logged in through the activation page there and it has worked fine since then.

I've had exactly the same problem. Even spoke to Discovery Plus directly who were much more helpful than Sky technical team. Sky technical team just suggested I create a new email address!! Why would I do this when the account hasn't even been activated or created?? I get the same "awaiting activation" and the Sky page then it won't load. I've been have this problem for 2 days. Amongst other technical issues with Sky. I'm getting really annoyed now!!

I have the same problem with discoveryplus unable to activate it spoken to sky and discovery. Both said it's the others thought. Please sort it out

I also have this with my Netflix subscription, each saying the problem is with the other, so now I'm being charged by both as the accounts aren't synched. I'm new to Sky and like the bits of it that do work but I can't be doing with this buck passing nonsense, if Sky have a contract with Discovery and Netflix then it's their issue to sort out rather than having every customer going around in circles

I've received another text this morning from Sky telling me to go to sky.com/discoveryplus-activate I have done this from the outset and it did not work!! It takes me to my Sky username then through to my password where it then just will not load.
Therefore this is why I had to use a different route which Discovery Plus helped me with by going into the Sky App Subscription directly to add the app. It then does not let me fully activate it. The link is broken between Sky and Discovery plus. From Sky's side.
