Unable to access Discovery+ channel

Night before last I tried to watch Discovery+ channel, should have been free with my prescription however it kept demanding money so in the end I paid.  I tried at the time to speak to someone in the Apps Dept  but he was unable to help me, I tried switching everything off and unplugging but nothing worked.  I would like my money back but would also like access to the channel.  I phoned just now but after speaking to someone he said he was putting me through to the apps dept - I waited ten minutes and then I was cut off.  Awful service.

@JulieWard Discovery+ is an app not a channel have you followed the instructions in the link below especially the part about Sky marketplace

Yes sorry, I meant App not channel.  I managed to link my account using the six digit code, it said "all set now ready to go", however when I tried to watch something it kept telling me I had to pay.  I spoke to someone yesterday afternoon from Sky who said they no longer give the App Discovery+ for free.
