Hi, So I pay £7 for Ulimate TV add on (Netlflix), and I have been able to watch under my Netlfix login details on other smart TV's around the house....until now.
When I try to log in on the Netflix App via mobile or smart TV, it asks me to sign in and requests that I need to sign up with a new payment plan. If I watch Netflix via Sky Q via the Netflix App, then I am all ok to watch the content.
I have checked my login details on the Sky Q Netflix App and the email for the account is not my usual login email so I am assuming the change in subscription from Netlfix has now reduced my viewing options.
Is there anyway round getting Netflix back outside of Sky Q via mobile and Smart TV? Just seems a con that Sky constantly increases packages (even whilst in contract) and yet able to reduce the content when suits them.
I assume that Sky has reduced me to the minimum Netlflix option but is there a away of upgrading to Premier via Sky Q if that was the only way?

@Kev78 Hiya with Netflix it used to depend on what packages you have with Sky, as to how many screens and what resolution you get Netflix in but since December 2023 this changed to the following
Ultimate Package includes
Netflix Standard with Ads in HD
Watch on 2 devices.
upgrade Boost to Netflix Standard (No Ads). HD
cost £10
Watch on 2 devices
upgrade Boost to Netflix Premium UHD
cost £15
Watch on 4 devices

hi @Kev78
Any restrictons are on Concurrent sessions & does not rely on one being on SKY Q
If you are getting problems signing into any other device then it is a problem with the credentials you are using

Hi Thanks for the response, Yes, I am contracted to February 2025 and have the Ultimate TV add on along with HD and Ultra HD. I am still AD free at this moment in time, however, if this was only meant to change at renewal stage, (I haven't changed anything in my package), then not sure why Netflix account has suddenly changed.
Guess I will have to contact sky.

But I think not whatever you were using before since you've moved over to that sky managed contract. I kept my external one and never shifted to paying via Sky so not 100% confident of this.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave a read of the Sky help page for activating and using Netflix via sky account payment on Sky Q, like Ultimate TV add on.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/apps-on-sky-q-and-glass-using-netflix
Basically, for Sky Q;
If you moved your Netflix account from paying Netflix direct direct to paying via your Sky account, you would still be using your original Netflix login. All that changes is who you are paying for your Netflix plan.
On a Sky q box and any other devices you use, you enter the original Netflix login details.
If you took the Sky q Netflix offer and never had a previous Netflix account, you would have created the Netflix account from the Sky box link method and created a Netfix account with your own choice of an email and password. Once again, that is the email and password you use on other devices, like a Smart Tv.
Of course, with this from the beginning you have paid for Netflix via Sky.

Hi, Yes. I already have an exsiting Netflix account so my original login details as you say, enabled me to log in to all relevant devices. However, this has since changed and so Netflix are asking me to sign up to a new plan (if I log in via my originaly login details), however I have noticed that via Sky Q, I now have a different email account which has changed without me knowing.
I can now only watch Netflix via the Sky Q App and would have to pay anohter subscription to be able to watch Netflix outside of Sky. I am still in contract with Sky until February 2025 so did not think these changes would affect me until my contract came to an end.

hi @Kev78
As I indicated above your problems are do to do with the login credentials (email & password) and not related to any Netflix billing changes introduced.
I have no idea how your email address used in the SKY Q app will have changed - are you sure you did not use this ?
Is that email address not yours ?
If the email address is a problem I am not too sure if it is Netflix or SKY you will need to contact.

If that is your email address, do a password reset on it and then use it to login on those other devices.
If it's not, suspect your account has been hacked but normally they need to know your original password to make that change.
