UHD - What is the constraint? Box / Area or both?

Hi there

So, I keep seeing the UHD adverts and as I have a 4k TV I thought I'd ask about an upgrade again (the last time I did this, it wasn't possible due to me being mid contract). So, I just renewed packages, added Sky sports and asked the UHD question......got told to speak with Technical support as my box is apparently not UHD compatible. When I eventually got through, I was told that UHD is not available in my area.....

So which is it, does anyone know if there is a box and area constraint in order to be able to receive UHD? Pretty rubbish either way.

Absolute nonsense about UHD being related to Area

Regarding the box :

Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version

If it is 32Cxxx then you have an older 1TB non-UHD Box
If it is 32B0xxx then you have a (V1) UHD but non HDR 2TB Box
If it is 32B1xxx then you have a (V2) UHD HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
If it is 32B2xxx then you have a (V3) UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box

If you have a non UHD (or non HDR) and wish to upgrade SKY usually charges around £99

Unless "in your area" meant they had no UHD boxes for distribution from a particular warehouse.

which would be very odd.
