Re: This programme is no longer available

Ah, got it. Thank you. I just got unlucky(lucky?) and didn't get it until this week just gone 😞

Re: This programme is no longer available

I doubt they will ever fix it, but I'm getting sick of having to reboot now.

This started in April/May.

Re: This programme is no longer available

I had this again tonight, after a gap of a few weeks.  This time, following the usual switch off-unplug-and-restart, I saw a front-panel message that was new to me: I think it said, "Refer to board".  There might have been more, but it didn't last.

Can anyone here enlighten me about it?  Thanks.

Maybe a message popped up from your TV rather than the Q box?

No, it definitely appeared in the front LED display panel of the Sky Q box.  Perhaps I simply misread it, or dreamed it, or a combination of the two.  I'll keep a wary eye out in case it happens again, and try to get more details.

Thanks.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Sky Q boxes don't have a front panel display. Are you mistaking another device for a Sky Q box?

Re: This programme is no longer available

Clearly I was right, I was dreaming.  Thanks.  The only viable candidate then is my Denon amp.

LATER:

Sure enough, Google offers this:  A "Reference Board" error on a Denon receiver typically points to a hardware or internal communication failure within the digital audio/video processing boards or the main controller microprocessors.

Which is just dandy.

Lol, I actually turned around to look at our Q box when I read that in total bafflement.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Not sure if this will work for everyone but since I got a new router the problem was solved. Having had trouble free viewing for a month or so now I realised that my Sony Bravia tv was not linked to the new router so I decided to link them up. Next time I turned on Sky I was back to square 1 with having to re booting the Sky box. I then turned off WIFI on the Sony tv and miraculously the issue went away. Worth a go if you're desperate

Re: This programme is no longer available

I'm using a Virgin router but I'm sure it's the Sony tv that's the problem but only when it's linked to the router

Re: This programme is no longer available

Thanks so 2 days in a row now it's turned on fine after turning off the WiFi on my Sony Bravia TV 🤞

Re: This programme is no longer available

I couldn't see how this was relevant, but I tried it, switched off wi-fi on my Sony Bravia, and like magic, everything is working correctly again. Can turn on sky using the home button and it instantly comes on. Still don't see how it works, but hey, I'm happy again.
