Program no longer available
Every few weeks lately I have been getting this error message,I can't acccess any recordings, change or watch any channel, the only option I have is to reset the box.
A few weeks or sometimes days later I get the same issue, this is only been ongoing for about 3 months, anyone else get this problem?

Yes, there are unfortunately other people with the problem too.
It's not anything you've done - please see this thread.

Re: This programme is no longer available
This issue has been ongoing since April and is intolerable. This thread has over 400 contributions !! Initially the problem of SkyQ boxes freezing daily and needing to be rebooted was related to the Q350 software upgrade. After 3 months of moaning including an email to the Sky CEO I was put on. 'Select' list to receive an updated version of Q350. I was relieved when this was downloaded as the problem went away. However, I have now had a Q360 update and the problem has RETURNED and I'm now having to reboot daily !!!!

Re: This programme is no longer available
Have you tried what I suggested and appears to have worked for others by turning off the WiFi to the tv. Myself and others who have a Sony Bravia tv this has worked. There's no need to have a WiFi connection to your tv only the Sky Q unless there are particular apps you watch only on your tv set

First - if that's the only work-around to the problem, fair enough.
On the point about not needing the TV to be connected to the internet - that depends if you want the best picture and sound quality and correct frame-rates or not. Apps on SkyQ are converted to 50fps so most series and movies from Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max etc are all played back at the wrong frame-rate. More visibly obvious is that SkyQ doesn't support Dolby Vision, the premium HDR format so you'll always get a better picture quality using your TV's native apps instead of running them on SkyQ. It's also likely to be a slicker and smoother experience.

Re: This programme is no longer available
So tonight, we had this error in the middle of watching a programme!
We were just over 10 minutes before the end of something we'd previously recorded on our Sky Q box, and paused it briefly. Tried to unpause it perhaps a minute or two later, and it just wouldn't unpause .. had the error on the top saying no longer available. Tried picking up the episode from iPlayer and it was just stuck with the circular loading icon. Had to switch it off completely and back on again for it to work.

Re: This programme is no longer available
Thank you so much. You have solved it for me. If anyone else has a Sony Bravia and wants apps on tv this works with Ethernet cable and WiFi turned off in settings. Both Sky Q and Tv apps working flawlessly now with Ethernet connected TV.

Re: This programme is no longer available
Glad you're sorted. Must admit it was a pain in the **bleep** and not quite sure why connecting the tv to the internet created this problem but who cares now

Re: This programme is no longer available
It's incredible I've gone days with no reboots although the TV strangely has to be turned on twice!

Re: This programme is no longer available
I've not had that issue with turning the tv on twice. Do you use the tv remote or hold down the Sky remote button for 3 seconds. I don't touch the tv remote at all so wondering if that's the difference

Re: This programme is no longer available
For several months I have had to reset (hard) my SKY Q box twice each day. In addition to not starting it also gives superflous error messages like "this programme is no longer avaialble" even though I am watching a live TV channel (BBC 1). I have set up a HIVE remote socket connected soley to my SKY Q so at least when I need to reboot (minimum twice a day) I don't have to leave the armchair and scrabble on the floor amongst the sockets! My SKY Q is up to date with the latest software. I am getting fed up now and thought I would add my name here to the list of affected customers. Is SKY going to assist customers at all? Obviously I don't want to change to Glass or streaming puck and if SKY Q keeps on like this or is finished I would take the opportunity to leave SKY altogether. Can someone please advise on the latest status of these issues and if I should formally complain about a fault to SKY, but to what end? What action do they take currently in respect of these faults? Thanks

Re: This programme is no longer available
Ive been having the same issue for months. I was told last week by the Sky engineer they had rolled out new software to sove the problem. Clearly it hasnt worked. Try the work around. Disable the TV wifi connection and just watch eveŕything via the box. Its worked for me and many others. Not ideal but better than nothing.

Re: This programme is no longer available
Does anyone else find with the WiFi disabled on a Sony Bravia that although it works you have to power on twice with the sky remote? First time works but then Tv doesn't boot up fully, second time all is perfect
