Re: This programme is no longer available

Downloaded 3.60 and can confirm it does not fix the issue.
sky had promised to keep me updated ( of course they have not), and I have an email where they tell me that it is a s/w issue and swapping hardware will not fix the issue.

everything we already knew but at least they admitted it.  What is bad though, is they do not follow through with promised updates and a total inability to to fix issues they introduced.

i have again emailed in but expect nothing positive  to happen..

Re: This programme is no longer available

Agreed no fix with 360 sadly. I had a text from Sky in the week but just basically saying there is no update as yet!

That's been pretty obvious from the start, what's most frustrating reading the posts is all the wasted time, energy and money swapping boxes, and all the lost recordings and massive hassle involved.

So let's hope that the "do not swap hardware" message sinks in with all the call centre staff and technicicians who visit people's houses.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Re: This programme is no longer available

Definitely not restricted to Sony TVs. My Samsung has had this issue since it was first highlighted on here around April. Needless change of my SkyQ box (of course!) and patiently waiting for the software update which sadly hasn't fixed the issue.

Using the button on the front of the box to switch on and off instead of the remote, and switching off at the wall overnight has resolved the problem, but that is a workaround, not a solution. C'mon Sky! Get it sorted, eh?

Re: This programme is no longer available

I've had this issue for months and my TV is a Panasonic.

This may be a massive coincidence but despite having 3 engineers visit, 2 brand new skyq boxes, nothing changed. Same old story, the box needed rebooting every time it was switched off for more than a few hours. Low and behold ,Virgin ( broadband provider) insisted I have a new router so they sent one through. Can't quite believe it but since I swapped over the router I have had no issues now for 2 weeks and everything is working perfectly. As I said, could be a coincidence but thank god for that

Interesting, as this problem has been ongoing for months and there doesn't seem to be any pattern as to which TVs are/aren't affected, I wonder if the problem is actually being caused by certain types of routers? It might be useful if those affected temporarily disconnected their boxes from the internet and see if that helps in any way.

Re: This programme is no longer available

My router was disconnected last Monday and Tuesday due to broadband being down.  I turned it all off whilst it was down.

I still got the program not available etc on Tuesday

Re: This programme is no longer available

I had a new installation about three weeks ago and for the first two weeks no problem. Then all of a sudden it needs the plug pulling out after the Tv has been turned off for a while. Every time now.

I'm on Starlink Wi FI connected. Tried new Quality HDMI lead and no luck.

Re: This programme is no longer available

One suspects lots of things are going on in the background with Sky trying various fixes across platforms to isolate why certain set-ups react as they have post the last blanket software release? In my case it appears to be positive news as my QBox has been stable these past three weeks irrespective of the order in which I activate/deactive system components. I'm still on a version of Q350.000.12.00 though suspect this may be a tweaked version from that I was on when first reporting the issue. Whilst any tweak may work for me it may not for you, so likely they're collating data to identify patterns in what most likely could be a universal fix.

Software developers (for any company) don't put out individualized software updates. You'll be on the same Q350 as everyone else was, (as below) and if you hit the setup button it'll update to the same Q360 software as everyone else who has updated is on (it will automatically update itself at some point).
