Re: This programme is no longer available

6th May sky acknowledged this thread. Well over a week ago and not even an update from Sky themselves which is pretty shocking. I have not wasted my time ringing them or requested a new box as clearly this does not resolve the issue. Is there anyone else we can contact as feel like the problem is being ignored. Thousands of people are reporting the same issue and nothing is being done.

Not sure where you pull the "thousands are reporting this" from but they've stated it's being worked on, there's never going to be daily updates saying the same thing.

Re: This programme is no longer available

It's not just on here that people are reporting issues. There are countless people complaining of the same issues over social media platforms.

I wasn't suggesting that they give daily updates but it would be courteous to at least update its paying customers that they may or may not know what is causing the technical issues and they are still working on a solution.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Switch HDMI Control to off, see if that helps. Mine has been ok since doing that.

@DW49

I've moved your post into a thread already discussing this topic which is being investigated by Sky.

Re: This programme is no longer available

2 glorious days where it all worked brilliantly after putting it into eco mode and turning the smart standby/hdmi control off

And then today, I'm now on my 2nd reboot as the I left the box idle on one channel for too long.

I would personally take it back out of Eco mode and just put it into standby mode at night.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Would love to know why it worked for a couple of days over the weekend and then went back to either the error message or flat-out crashed every morning since Monday.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Hi All,

I am having the same issues almost 3 times a day. Whilst watching TV, the screen became black, and I could hear the sound only. I couldn't change the channel, and the box completely froze.

The error message came on top of the screen: "This program is no longer available".

I rebooted the box, and then it worked fine until the next time.

I reported this issue with Sky 3 weeks ago and they replaced by SkyQ box, but having the same issue with the new box. I reported again with Sky, and they have booked an engineer to attend. As the problem doesn't happen all the time, I am not sure how the engineer will work this out.

Re: This programme is no longer available

It's something to do with how long the box is on. If I leave my sky box on, and turn off my TV, when I return after a few hours it doesn't work.

But if I turn the box and tv off, it's fine.

Re: This programme is no longer available

Hi @SpaceSparkie

You posted a holding statement two weeks ago and marked it as the 'answer' to this issue.

I am concerned that there has been no further progress and, as the topic is flagged as 'Answered', it is not being prioritised.

Please can you post an update even if it is 'we're still working on to resolve the problem'?

Re: This programme is no longer available

This response should not have been marked as the "Answer" as it does not answer anything, it just states that the issue has been escalated.

The issue persists and is very annoying as I also have to power cycle my Sky Q box several times a day at the moment.

The only response that should be marked as the "Answer" is one that explains how to resolve the issue.

@SimonRaybould

It is common practice for such updates to be temporarily marked as the answer so that customers viewing the thread for the first time can quickly find the most up to date update without necessarily having to trawl through pages and pages of posts.
