Thinking of moving to Sky

Hi

I'm thinking of moving to Sky from another supplier whose service I am happy enough with, but is too expensive.

I have been reading conflicitng information about what Sky can offer.

Can anyone tell me if they are still offering a hard drive box (I think tgat';s. aSky Q?)  or can new customers only get a streaming device:?

If I can get a HD recroder, does this only work if I also have a satterlite dish?

Many thanks

Yes, Q is still available.  (It has a lifespan of about 4-5 years due to the likely decommissioning of the satellites)

Q is the only option with local (hard disk) recording  and requires a dish.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Sky Q can still be ordered but it's hidden away on the website:
