Technofobe with HD
I pay for HD on my package but don't have an HD television, assume it won't affect anything if I cancel it? Apologies as I'm a technofobe!

You must have a very old television then. I'm not even sure if there were any SD televisions released which had HDMI ports.
Do you have an HD-ready TV which has a resolution of 720P perhaps? A full HD TV is capable of 1080i, which is the native HD broadcast resolution.
Or are you confusing HD with UHD?

@Grace1927
To remove part of your TV package (in your case UHD) you need to contact Sky giving 31 days notice. If you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them because the discounts were provided on the understanding you’d be paying for the full period. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t cancel another part of a discount.
You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (usually available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling using the number that should appear.
