TV Packages a Mess - need to fix account ASAP

So offers are expiring at all difffernt times and I need to overhaul the lot to align with renewal date. Very frustrating as every time I try to downgrade my only option is to upgrade. I have one offer that expires in 2106..? One expiring this month one next month, one in November, can this not all be aligned to one date for all and update the whole thing?

Who can help with this?

Which is a bodge to make it perpetual.

I would hope it is Sky, I imagine BT or a Virgin media wouldn't be much help with this. Importantly though, who/how at *Sky*

Although that sounded like a flippant answer it is in fact accurate. There isn't a specific person or department to call (we're only other customers here, like yourself). Be aware that if any of the discounts are minimum term rather than 31 day rolling monthly subscriptions, it will start a new 24 month contract and it's possible that other items will end their discounts at their current term, leaving you paying full price for them for the remainder of the 24 months.

The fact that you can only upgrade online and not downgrade or remove pretty much anything yourself is one of my petty hates with Sky.

Can I ask, what is it specifically you're trying to align?

Re: TV Packages a Mess - need to fix account ASAP

Pack is as follows:

Signature offer ends: 2/12/26

- in contract offer ends 2/12/27

(haven't discussed contract for nearly 2 years and I don't remember signing up for 3 years?)

Sports offer ends: 6/10/26

- in contract discount 6/10/26 (more aligned to what I expected my contract length to be)

- sports HD offer ends 22/7/2106

Cinema offer ends: 25/8/26

HD offer ends: 2/12/26

No offers on -

ultimate tv

boost to Netflix

multi screen

ultra hd

'see it first'

it all just seems a mess and want make all the dates match up and make it easier for renewals or leaving.

The only way to align all dates is to completely recontract all elements at the same time.

...this will require a new 24 month contract (of course).  When Sky will let you do that is the issue...

As I said, that's the bodge which enabled making HD the standard for Sports subscription channels even where the household doesn't have the HD add-on for the rest of the bundle.

Re: TV Packages a Mess - need to fix account ASAP

In case anyone searches for the same type of problem, I called Sky using the number ending  41, (I see the problem now!)  and renewed with all dates (excluding 2106) on a new 2 year contract for a slightly lower price which will probably put me back up to current price in April next year with annual increases.

Retention team not quite as strict as they were 2 years ago it appears and all deals now make it so I can ditch the lot at the same time if I choose to in 2 years.

Probably worth noting that by that time Q will almost certainly be within a couple of years of end-of-life, so they won't be offering two year minimum terms anyway.

Good point thanks - I look forward to the end of the fans spinning like mad and the red light for 10mins every couple of months or so. The interface is actually alright it's running it continuously that seems to be the issue, have had 3 different boxes same issue with all 3.
