TV Guide issue now on my 3rd Sky Q box

Hi

I have a 2tb box that after a couple of days the tv guide just refuses to load any info it just spins, sky have been out and I am on my 3rd box the engineer came yesterday and said he had no idea. The box is hard wired with an ethernet cable into my sky router I have 2 other sky mini boxes that are hard wired and they are all fine. It really is making no sense as soon as I unplug the main box and plug it back in it works again for a day or 2 then the guide just stops loading again and its been the same on all 3 boxes that have been sent out.

Re: TV Guide issue now on my 3rd Sky Q box

I fixed this on a friend's box. I typed in Sky EPG restore on my phone and followed instructions from there and it worked.

Try this:

Reset the settings

  1. Press the Home button on your Sky Q remote, highlight Settings then press 0,0,1 and Select.
  2. Select Reset, then Reset settings and select Confirm.
  3. Wait for the on-screen instructions to disappear then press the standby button on the front of your Sky Q box, instead of the Home button on your Sky Q remote.

Resetting the settings will clear any remote pairings you have setup. To re-pair your remote to your Sky Q box, follow our online help guide.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

  • Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control.
  • Preferences, such as auto-play and standby mode.
  • Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, including LNB type and wireless connectivity.
  • Accessibility settings, such as contrast and audio description or subtitle settings Account info for Sky Q TV apps, such as Netflix.
