TV Contract
My contract is due to end in September and i want to discontinue with SKY , will the contract just automatically stop, i dont want it to renew

No, unfortunately the contract does not stop - it continues until you cancel it ( & probably needs a minimum of 31 days notice)
The only thing that happens when your minimum contract ends is that your discounts end so your bill is likely to increase
To cancel you need to contact SKY

And if calling Sky becomes too much of a pain, cancelling your direct debit with them is not a valid way of ending your subscription.
Calling them is the only way.

Sky TV
~ If you want to cancel it completely, and you’re out of contract, you’ll need to give the required notice of 31 days. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you cannot cancel within a minimum term deal unless Sky agree to it. If they agree you’ll end up paying off the rest of the discounted term (in one payment).

(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.
If you cancel correctly you should receive a confirmation email from Sky.
If you’re cancelling Sky Q totally don’t forget to keep you proof of posting indefinitely when you return the box(es). Return packaging will be sent out towards the end of your notice period.
