Am sorry but TNT was included with the HBO app.. IT was the only reason I accepted the subscription and yes I watched the chanmpionship final on it. It was advertised directly at the time that setting up included tnt and allowed me to watch the final. I repeat it was the ONLY reason i set it up (I Have absolutly no interest in anything else it offered)

I feel totally decived by this sky...

@plsSortItOutMart TNT sports has never been included as standard with the hbo entertainment free tier with sky

the only reason you were able to watch the European finals was because tnt made them available to all levels of hbo subscription as a one off gesture

TNT Sports (and BT Sport before them), have regularly provided free access to European finals either by sharing with a terrestrial TV partner, broadcasting on YouTube or last time round, providing free access if you signed up for the app.

This has nothing to do with Sky, who in an unrelated deal, provide access to entertainment content (not sports), for Sky subscribers that wish to sign up for it.

Re: TNT Sports via HBO Max

If the agreement was that TNT was included all else is irrelevant. What has always been is irrelevant. What needs to happen is evidence dictates whether TNT is included or not regardless of whether it is paid for.

Sky have been good in the past (3years ago) when I was missold something in going back, listening to phone calls and honouring what was agree to. More recently, however, they were terrible. I was promised something via their win back team who messed my contract up completely. It took 2 months of chasing and chasing for them to get round to sorting it out. I know there have been cuts recently and I have felt it.

What was 'advertised' (i.e. carried prominently in press stories, which aren't actually regulated as advertising) was that TNT chose to permit exceptional access to the three finals for Sky viewers without a Sports subscription: they were experiencing significant political pressure at the time.

A cynical person might suspect they were also doing so to promote uptake of their usual commercial offering, for which they pay out billions to acquire content rights and would probably rather prefer to make a profit.

Re: TNT Sports via HBO Max

And yet the sky opening page for HBOmax says "plus live TNT Sorts events like UEFA Champions League (no mention of additional subscriptions)

Yeah it's a bit weasel worded - it means some tnt sports events. Not sure where you're seeing that, but after decades of sport getting more expensive and diversified across broadcasters, no one could have seriously thought they'd suddenly get tnt sports for free. Surely?

Anyway it's all a bit of a moot point because no one is going to and writing about it on here won't change that.
