Switching channels randomly on its own

My Sky box keeps scrolling through channels on its own when I press the back button on either my Sky remote or my Samsung remote. It also happens when I first switch it on. It’s really frustrating. I’ve tried turning it off at the power for ten minutes, but it’s still acting up. The software on both my Sky Q box and TV seems to be up to date. Can you help?

@Ange450 check your Sky Q remote for any buttons that may be stuck in

Hi @Ange450   Have you got a rogue Bluetooth device. If it not a stuck button, then try switching off Bluetooth on your Sky Q remote by holding down 4 & 6 until the led flashes 4 times.

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

It's happening with all three of my controllers. I suspect it's a result of a recent software update. Noticed others posting similar issues

I've searched and flipped back through the last 6 pages and can't find anything. Think we can safely say this isn't caused by a software update. Your remote might be faulty (go through the sky.com troubleshooter to get a replacement ordered) or just has a button gummed up/ stuck in.

Ours is doing the same on both of our boxes - did you find the problem and solution?

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

I'm afraid I have no solution. I ordered a new controller but I have two others and it happens to all of them. The volume scrolls uncontrollably as does the back button and play buttons. It's a nightmare. Any help is appreciated
