Have they reported any problems with the newer version please?

No. On neither 280 nor 300

Have you done a full reset on all 3 remotes?

Ours is doing the same on both of our boxes - did you find the problem and solution?

And have you reset your remotes? Interesting you are getting the same symptoms.

I'm afraid I have no solution. I ordered a new controller but I have two others and it happens to all of them. The volume scrolls uncontrollably as does the back button and play buttons. It's a nightmare. Any help is appreciated

Hang on, you said it changed channels before? Is it volume and back/play or the channels?

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

Yes, reset both boxes and remotes. Trying software updates now. Something has happened as effecting 2 separate boxes. Changing channels on own, pausing, rewinding, turning off and on.
Will update if software update works

Are both TVs the same? Have you tried taking the batteries out of those remotes?

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

Yes it does it even with no batteries in remotes

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

It changes channels when I use the back button.  It changes the volume to full or zero volume when I try to increase or decrease the volume.  The new controller arrived today and I've paired it with the TV. It is doing the same blooming thing and as usual no way to contact support other than via a chat bot and I'm paying nearly £90 per month for this!  Can you advise how to reset the controller please?

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

I found how to do this by holding 7 and 9 together until it flashes four times. Then repaired 1 and 3. It didn't fix the issue.

You can talk to someone at sky by calling them. Just have to navigate the annoying voice response system first. I'll escalate this thread for an online chat on here anyway.

So every remote, on every sky box, does the same thing when you press the same buttons?

Have you tried turning off HDMI-CEC on the TV just to eliminate any kind of control from the TV over the sky box?

Re: Switching channels randomly on its own

Thank you for your help. I managed to get through to Sky and they think the Sky Q box is the issue. The mini box doesn't have the same issue. An engineer is coming on Tuesday. Fingers crossed
