Static banners

I was wondering how difficult it would be for Sky to give the viewer the option to watch channels like SSN and Sky News without the static banners on the screen. As most people probably have modern TVs now it would help against screen burn, especially on OLED TVs.

It's the channels themselves that have the static banners.  Sky cannot change them...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Sorry @Adds1  I don't think this would ever happen.

There seems a belief that these are what the viewers want or should have.

They have, however, responded to issues raised over brightness & lowered it on some to reduce the effects

BTW  I don't think modern OLEDs are not as susceptable to the burn in

Re: Static banners

I understand that.. It would be nice though via maybe the red button to go full screen.

It's already full screen, unlikely sky would introduce an option to stretch the picture out of shape just to hide the graphics, as already advised they are part of the broadcast picture so you wouldn't be able to remove them in that respect.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
