Moving home and sky wanting access to communal dish

Hi,

I am scheduled to move into my new home soon. The current occupants already have Sky Q via the underground cabling and communal dish.

Therefore if we are bringing our Sky Q package to the same location, will the engineer need access to the communal dish or will just be able to plug and play  as should already be set up for previous owner?

Regards,

RCMANU

@rcmanu   If your Sky Q receiver is presently being fed from a communal Integrated Reception System installation then it should be a simple 'plug & play' process, but if you presently have your own Sky MiniDish your Sky Q receiver will  need to be re-configured to use SCR LNB mode, instead of the default WIDEBAND LNB mode.

The Sky MDU trained engineer should not require access to the nearest communal IRS distribution cabinet.

Godfrey.
