Sky in a loop.
Software error - we click reboot
Sky logo appears
Then it says its doing a software update
But it stops asks to press 7 and 9 on remote nothing happens we click continue
Its says software error again.
Have turned off
Unplugged
Still the same

Can you give the steps here a try?
I think you might as well skip straight to the recovery procedure (step 3):
Restart your Sky Q box
- Switch the Sky Q box off at the mains.
- Hold down the standby button on the front of the box.
- Keep holding the standby button, then switch the box back on at the mains.
- Keep the standby button held down until you see alternating red and amber lights on the front of the box. This will start a software update.
If the lights don't show after 30 seconds, try the above steps again.
If it doesn't work after that, you should be able to request a new box from that same workflow.
