Do you need to have Sky Ultimate package for voice control to work?

Further update. Problem solved at last. It was my own fault. Wasn't following instructions properly for settings.
Go to Settings > Set Up > Remote Control >SkyQ remote > Control your TV >
Scroll down to S and choose Sky. Choose find model for me and make sure you choose 4 of 4.

Voice control works on all Q boxes and minis with the Bluetooth Voice remote with Microphone button.
During playback you can go to any point using Voice control.
Ie Say go to 20 minutes etc.

I have tried everything and cannot get Voice Control on my Sky Glass remote to work. I was allowed to keep a Glass TV and revert back to the Sky Q package. I have both a Sky Glass and an ordinary Sky remote.

Afraid the Voice remote will only work on a Glass TV if you has Sky Stream Subscription. With this your Glass TV is just a basic television.
When you say you have a Sky Ordinary remote if this for Sky Q and it has a microphone button then this can be used for Voice control on Sky Q.

No, it doesn't have a microphone button. I wonder if Sky would supply one. I would need to know the proper name of the remote.

All the Sky Q remotes are Voice control now @Patsy+2018

In the meantime if you have an Apple device with Sky Go you can set up a virtual remote to control your Q boxes.

Update. I received new SkyQ remote in post this morning. Paired it with TV and Hey Presto Voice Control working. Great, I thought at last. Shortly afterwards however I noticed volume not working. I still have to use Sky Glass remote for volume. It's as if the two remotes are still conflicting with each other. Have tried resetting both.

When you say, you paired it with the TV, do you mean you have paired the new remote to the Sky Q box, or set it up to control the TV power on and volume? This is a seperate procedure from pairing to the Q box.
On a side note, does anyone know if the remote replacement form will replace a Touch remote with the touchpad wth the same, or wil they just send out one of the newer button remotes instead.

The Touchpad remotes ceased to be in about 2018-19

No, it's only the newer remote that is sent as a replacement.
As above, Sky have for about four or five years now only been sending the newer 'button only' model, no matter which one you currently have/use.
When I had Sky Q, I used/ preferred a touch remote on both my main box and mini.
I loved the touch remote and never had any issues with it.
If you check online via a well known auction site, you can buy one for around £25. Make sure it is the V2 model, model no: eco55
