Sky remote remedy and it works

My sky remote stopped working and today I googled some answer but all of them didn't resolve it. Like press buttons 7 & 9 together or 1&3 . But I eventually found a list that worked  . After I put the batteries back in and pressed the select button the sky box and my tv turned off . Pressed to on button and the remote magically is now working . This definitely is the answer as it seems people trying the numbers etc aren't getting a result . I'm amazed it worked .. I've posted what I looked at .

Those are instructions for a Sky+ HD box, so relate to infrared remote functionality.

The 'numbers etc' are for Bluetooth pairing on a Sky Q box.

If this isn't done, Voice Control won't work.

Well what ever my remote wasn't working . I have a sky q  mini in the other room and that remote worked the sky box in front room . Anyway I got my remote working which is good . Was just mentioning my result ?

I had to pair Bluetooth to solve my similar issue. Keys 1 and 3 for my remote

Sounds like the main box's paired remote was in the other room.

Interesting that process did something on your remote though.
