EMtronics TV and sky Q remote issues

My SQ remote control won't sync with my EMtronics TV properly. I can change the channels on sky etc usually but the sky Q remote doesn't let me switch the TV on/off or control the volume and my voice control on the remote has also stopped working. I'm tired of using two remotes and I would like to be able to access voice control again. I have tried to repair my Sky Q remote but it keeps saying can't find this tv/ tv not compatible but it does show up as an option  on the list. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as this has been doing my head in for nearly a year. Thanks in advance! 😊

I'm afraid that the best idea is to purchase a recognisable brand name television.

Pairing the Q remote to the Q box is not the same thing as trying to get a Q remote to control television power and volume: the former should work without the latter.

Yeah the voice thing is unrelated. Suggests maybe a problem with the remote. Are you holding the button down?

Ref the TV, is the exact model shown in the list?

@TIM186 Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.
