hi @Spike18
With the thick clouds & heavy rain etc. that Storm Amy may bring, it is possible that this is the cause, although probably likely to only last for minutes than hours.
Note the cloud / rain etc affecting signal would be between the Satelites high over the Quator & your dish, so not necessarily overhead.
If your dish is slightly mis-aligned this may cause you to loose signal when others don't
No problems for me on the Fylde coaste

There will be many posts in the forum following such storms. Resolution times will be extended as there are only so many engineers.

Re: Sky reception
I forgot to mention last night, that the strong winds, of course, could possibly move the dih out of alignment, in which case you will need to arrange for an engineer to visit
As @PandJ2020 says the wait time for engineer's to visit may be signifiucant due to the number of calls they are likely to get and the fact that engineer's have been cut back.
If you need to book an engineer, please see the following page that covers a few problems - if you follow the link through and still have problems then you should find a link to book an engineer if you have your own dish
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
(alternatively it may be quicker to arrange for a local Satellite specialist but this will be at your own cost)
