Sky q view card

My Sky Q box lights up n when i can see it on screen it asking to insert the view card ?

We have removed it wiped it with a cloth also switched it off at the mains n re- booted n the home screen is not responding to my remote . We have put new batteries into the remote but still non responsive !

Any ideas how i can resolve this please ?

This might sound condescending (sorry, not intended!), but can you make sure the viewing card is:

1. Inserted the right way up and 
2. Pushed all the way in

Both have caught others out in the past, especially the second one!

Thankyou for your reply , we checked to make sure cos your right it does catch people out bit yes its inserted correctly . All we can see at the mo is bbc1 but still no responce from the remote to allow me to see the tv guild .

Then it is likely the Sky remote needs either new batteries and/or re-pairing to your box.

We have put new batteries in and gone through resetting thw box itself . Followed all onscreen instructions n now pleased to say its just all come back to lfe . 

Can i say thankyou for your advise in helpong me to resolve this .
