ITVx keeps glitching

Every time we start watching itvx it streams ok for a while and then starts glitching. It pauses then restarts sometimes every second or so and then stops streaming a programme altogether. Any ideas how to resolve? Note other apps like iPlayer or Netflix stream fine.

In my experience, itvX is one of the most inconsistent apps around and has glitching issues on many devices. Sometimes a full power cycle (unplug the box for 5 minutes), is all that you need to fix minor bugs

Otherwise, the only thing you can really do on Sky Q to force updates or "kick" apps, is trying an 'apps refresh' in the installer menu:

  1. From the Sky Q Home screen navigate down to Settings in the left hand menu, but do not select Settings (i.e. click into it)
  2. With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 on your remote keypad and then click on the circular dot button in the middle of the 4 directional arrows on your remote to confirm
  3. Next, select Apps, then highlight Refresh all Apps on this box. You'll see a message that says, "Your apps are being refreshed" and this will stay on screen until you press Dismiss or Back on your remote to return to normal viewing. It’s recommended waiting at least 5 minutes before doing so

Note that an apps refresh can take up to 24 hrs to complete, so be patient 👍🏻
