Blank screen box seems to lock up

Our sky q box keeps stopping, no signal displayed on tv screen. Box doesn't respond to remote or buttons on the front. Switching off at the wall and restarting the box work's for a few minutes

That won't do anything apart from forcing your box to restart.  Looking at other threads, there is a major problem with thousands of customers, so it's not a local issue

One thing that I have noticed is that my SKY Q box top is no longer very warm or hot as it always seemed to be. Tonight it is cool. Might just be coincidental but something I noticed when resetting the power after switching it off at the plug sockets before switching on again after 20+ seconds. The picture seems to last around twenty minutes before shutting off with the green light still on and the remote will not do anything whatvever you try.

Yes, it's exactly the same for me.  Have rebooted 3 times now within half an hour. Come on Sky , stop saying there is no problem , and get it sorted . There is clearly an issue  here !

3 times unplugging and it plays for 10 min then goes blank on the TV. Light on the Q box but nothing. Completely frozen. Not happy

Having the same issue from about 9:15. Reset by disconnecting from the mains and eventually returned to service; only for it to switch off again15 minutes later.

Noticed that even though Sky Q becomes disconnected on screen, the box remains on and cannot be switched off using the remote.

 

Broadband is functioning fine and no other tests indicate an issue, though obviously there is as happening to several users.

I have the same issue. Twice shut off the output and needed a power off to recover.
