Sky q switches off

I've switched off at the mains and replugged in just now but still have no connectivity to HDMI and no luck with the remote at all.  So can't try the suggested remedy.  Very very frustrating!!

To resolve the issue
go to settings > setup > preferences > turn off smart standby and set standby to active 

So far so good for me all boxes are working again

I haven't made any changes to my Sky Q box, but all seems good again. It hasn't powered off yet ... So, possibly not a software update issue, but an issue with Sky and/or how the box communicates with Sky.

My sky Q box also keeps crashing every 10-15 mins it shutdown and the has Q ia spinning blue , completely powered the box down after 5 minutes it boots and restarted only to crash again in 10/15 minutes. 

what's going on?

Had to reset sky q box 3 time in 30 minutes last 5 mins & stops again

Same here sky q been okay all day then from 21.30 ish sky q box turned off.

So i Turned off and on at mains works for about 15mins then gose off again, done this 4 times now in last hour but looks like this is an issue all over the country.

Glad i came on here thought it was jus me.

Mine exactly the same. Seems to be an issue with lots of people tonight. I've unplugged and given up. I will see what tomorrow brings

I live near Oxford, SkyQ has crashed 4 times,I tried the on/off thing and it came back for about 5 minutes and I gave up!☹️

Mine doing this too from the 15th May. Really bad tonight (16th) and was having to turn it off at mains to reset. Went to settings, set up, preferences, standby mode and changed to "none". Seems to have worked so far 🤞

Just on Midnight and my Sky Q box has also been turning itself off every 20 mins or so and only works again on a unplug and re plug in to reset it. i take it it is a Nationwide problem and Sky website is not working here in Poole dorset ? Hope we havent all been hacked 🙄
