Hello, yep ours too... twice now and you can't manually shut down, had 2 power down  at the wall.

While this is bloody annoying it's a relief to come here and find it's not my box.

 

Hopefully Sky get their fingers out and sort this pretty quickly.

Sky Q box stopping sending signal to tv in mid programme

Hi.  We have a Sky Q box connected via HDMI cable to an LG smart TV.  They've been working together quite happily for the 2 years we've had the TV (Sky Q is 5 years old).

 

In the past few days at random points we suddenly lose sound and picture, and the TV switches to a default screen with an error message saying the Sky Q box has stopped transmitting a signal - please check its switched on and connected properly.  Now today its happened twice in the space of an hour.

 

I've checked the HDMI connection manually and it all seems fine.  I've used the HDMI check system in the TV and that says the connection is fine too.

 

The only way I can resolve it is to reboot the Sky Q box (turn it off and on again).  When it comes back, the TV picks it up straight away and everything is fine ... until it drops again.

 

The TV is up to date with its software.  I'm just updating the SkyQ box to the latest version as I type, but I wouldn't have expected a software update to affect something as core as connection to the tv at random times.

 

I'll update this post if that does prove to fix it, but in the meantime, anyone else got any ideas about what could be causing it?

Trying to watch SVU on recordings 

 

Crashed/lockup twice tonight 

 

Full reset twice, the settings code at the settings screen (001 on remote) Also not working 

 

Looks like Sky's latest firmware update has killed Alot of boxes....

"Conveniently" can't speak to anyone after 9pm it seems only automated robots. So do they even know there is an issue?

Hope it's nothing to do with Dragonforce or Scattered Spiders.
