Sky q just looping a advert for sky

So the other day I turned on my tv with sky a box and all I have on the screen is a sky q advert saying helpful hints and tips and I cannot get rid of it.

Hi @Tom+halifax Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

@Tom+halifax so when you try to change channels with your remote the SKY box stays on the same channel? Try resetting your remote:-

Press and hold 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for three seconds.

So the sky isn't even on a channel all it is doing is playing the same sky q advert about tip and tricks over and over again not a single button on my remote works apart from the volume button and yes I have changed the battery's

@Tom+halifax @Quoman7  Sounds like it's on channel 998.  Does your remote control still turn your Sky & TV on & off? What happens when you try & change channel? If you press 'i' on your remote does the info banner come up?

Literally had this happen to me tonight. Turns out that the "4" button was stuck down thus stopping any other buttons working. Duh!
