Hi, I have sky q with 4 mini boxes. This is the third bout of this issue I am having. The main box freezes. The remotes won't work so I have to pull the plug to reboot. When this happens the mini boxes stop working and says there is a connectivity problem. Once the main box reboots if I am lucky it will start playing for about 10/15mins before it does the same thing again. This evening I have given up trying to reboot after 6 previous rebooks.
When this issue first happened a few months ago, I struggled for a couple of days before I got in touch with sky and I was very lucky to have an engineer come out the next day!
They came and changed the box and all
see ok. The problem started again at the end of June. I got in touch with sky but the had no availability till the 21st july. I kept the appointment and the sky q started working properly after a couple of days. Now the problem started again yesterday.
I thought I would give the community a try in trying to solve this problem.
thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Claudette21 Try rebooting your SKYQ in the following order:-
First your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on, then do the same with all the Mini boxes, remember that you can only use two mini boxes at the same time, unless a third box is connected to an app.
