Sky q idea

Just an idea for a future feature for sky Q is when your sky box/TV off you just a voice command via the sky remote to turn the box & TV on. Also if you say name of app e.g. netflix it turns the box on and TV and launches the app.

What do you think,is it possible,will it happen?

Just hit the Sky button (or home) and then hit the voice command button and say what app you want.

Given the expected remaining lifespan of the batch of satellites Sky use(approx 4 years) there is highly unlikely to be any new features for Sky Q.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Sky q idea

Oh that's a shame.

So no more sky q in 4 years or could they use new satellites and continue?

I hope so as hear the sky puck/glass are an awful service plagued with buffering issues,catch up service/on demand issues etc etc

@will28

The demise of Sky Q has been discussed at length in another thread.

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/Is-sky-Q-and-sky-boxes-in-general-eventually-going-to-be-obsolete...

Unless some multi billionaire or equivalent consortium stump up the billions for a new satellite it won't happen.
