Sky q box versus sky stream cost benefit

I have skyQ and two mini boxes in a year the cost of these mini boxes will greater than the units value and continue into the future even mobile cost reduce one the equipment cost is paid for my question is returning the mini boxes and moving the account to a SKY STREAM with two pucks to connect my two Tv and save the cost of mini boxes. What do I loose by doing this

hi @James+W2

I don't know the exact costs but I think SKY Stream generally works out cheaper.

Any fee you have already paid for Q mini boxes is not returned (they are one off admin fees)

I think there are similar up front costs for Pucks

Using the Q minis requires the Muitscreen subscription you currently have - Stream Pucks require a similar 'WHole Home' (I think that is what is called) subscription

Stream Minis do all provide 4k/UHD unlike SKY Q minis

Obviously with Stream you need to have fast enough & stable internet.

There are other differences (e.g. Playlists vs Recordings etc) and there are a few discussions here & in the Stream groups that can advise you better than I can (I have no Glass/Stream experience of my own)

Q television just doesn't use that business model (and neither does Stream)

Technically the hardware is on free loan: any upfront per-box payment is a fee, and the Multiscreen/Whole Home monthly cost is a subscription.
