Sky q box getting very hot and hdmi signal switcing on and off

hello - our sky q box has started switching its hdmi signal to the tv on and off, and on occassion losing it altogether - it seems to be corresponding with the box itself getting really hot.   Sometimes manually turning to standby and on again sorts the problem, and somethimes it requires a hard reboot by unplugging and leaving to cool for a little while.  it doesnt happen all the time, and there doesnt seem to be any particular trigger..... its getting really annoying and seems to be happening more regularly!!!  Anyone had a similar issue?

Is your Q box well ventilated and not stacked with other devices?

If this is the case then best to get a Sky engineer.

it is normally in a unit, but we have tried it out on its own and had the same issues...... also it has been in the same unit for years without any problems.  baffling and frustrating......

It is ventilated but keeps happening. What do you suggest. Could you send out an engineer or send a new box out. Kind regards Alison
