Sky mini box

Have an unused Sky q mini box that is not used.

 How do I return it as being charged for something I no longer need.

@SandraD3

Is that your only mini box? You're being charged for the Multiscreen subscription not the mini box as such.

Hi many thanks for your reply. Understood that charged per box so thank you for clarifying.

Re: Sky mini box

Have 4 boxes in total, but now have a message to say system only supports 3.

All worked in previous house.

Sky make charges for mini boxes which could be considered to be an admin or delivery fee but they remain only loaned to you and must be returned at the end of your Multiscreen subscription.

@SandraD3

Our posts crossed. So you don't want to cancel Multiscreen then.

You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a third mini box if the first one in use is being used for a streaming app ie: Netflix or DIsney+. It’s worth mentioning that UHD content can’t be viewed on a mini box.

Be aware the original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. To check if you have the non UHD 1TB box check in:-
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it shows as 32Cxxx then you have a non UHD 1TB that only supports 1 active mini box.

All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.

Call Sky to arrange packaging to be sent out but stress to them you wish to only return one box and to keep your Multiscreen subscription.

You may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included.

Keep your proof of posting safe and indefinitely and if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

Tried to contact Sky via phone almost impossible, so will keep box for now.

@SandraD3

Okay. Going back to your opening post, you're not being charged for the one you aren't using any longer.
