Sky mini box

We had a power cut yesterday so I went through restart procedure on main box and all is well. My mini box will not restart. I go through retart procedure but after pressing "house2 button it returns to amber light. Tried pressing restart button for 30 secs etc and get to point where it asks to press button on any working sky box untill it flashes. I do this but the request remains on mini box screen. I have tried this a number of times with same result. I do not mind if I loose any recordings on mini box. Just want it working again. Can you help or do I need to contact Sky and wait and wait etc. Colin
