Sky mini box won’t go past step 1 of 4

The Sky mini box won't go past step one of holding the button with the dot on. 

The remote has never been paired with another tv and usually works fine. The sky Q box is working fine and our other sky mini is working fine also.

I am having the exact same problem with both my sky q mini boxes. Both were working before we went on holiday and now none are working? Cannot get past step 1 regardless of what I do

I am having exactly the same problem. 

Remote works for other instructions - it is only the steps involved in connecting to the Q main or to wifi where it freezes. 

Very frustrating as unable to make any progress or find any instruction.
